Title: Optimization of polyphenols separation from Pomegranate seeds by macroporous resins and study on antioxidant activity of the extraction
Abstract: This paper utilized the pomegranate seeds,the processing waste,from Anhui Huaiyuan as experimental materials to establish a macroporous resin purification methods of polyphenol:AB -8 was selected as the experimental resin. The flow rate for absorption was 0.75 mL/min and the elution rate was 0.5 mL/min. After purified by the resin the total polyphenol content increased from 53.13% to 78.80%; adsorption process was inferred to be the monolayer adsorption,i.e. Langmiur adsorption. Equation was obtained as y= 0.01211 +0.02086x,R2 =0.9977; the theoretical maximum adsorption capacity of adsorbed total polyphenol content was 82.56 mg/g.
