Title: Detection of peripheral blood T lymphocytic HLA-B27 expression for auxiliary diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis
Abstract: Objective To study the value of peripheral blood T lymphocytic HLA-B27 expression and serum immune index levels in auxiliary diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis(AS).Methods Flow cytometer(FCM)was used to detect the peripheral blood T lymphocytic HLA-B27 expression in 52 suspected AS cases in which the AS patients were diagnosed through clinical date combined with HLA-B27 detecting results.Serum levels of IgG,IgA,IgM,C4,C3,and C-reactive protein(CRP)were measured by nephelometry in total 37 cases of male. Results Among 52 suspected AS cases,13 samples were detected as HLA-B27 positive including 12 cases of male and 1 case female.Through aggregate analysis of clinical date and HLA-B27 results,12 patients of AS were final diagnosed comprising of 11 male and 1 female in which 9 cases were HLA-B27+ male AS(12-58 year-old),2 cases were HLA-B27-male AS(20 and 78 year-old),and 1 case was HLA-B27-female AS(9 year-old).The HLA-B27 positive rate of male AS patients was 82%.Nephelometry assay performed in total 37 cases of male shown that the levels of serum immune globulin(IgG,IgA,IgM),C4,and CRP in male AS patients were all higher than those of non-AS male cases(P0.05).Conclusion Detecting of HLA-B27 on the surface of peripheral blood T lymphocytes in suspected AS patients is helpful for accurately diagnosing of AS patients with active humoral immune function.
