Title: Clinical Observation on Treatment of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy by Tangmaikang
Abstract: Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of Tangmaikang on diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN).Methods 82 patients with DPN were randomly divided into two groups. The control group (40 cases) was treated with conventional therapy and Methycobal tablets, and the treatment group (42 cases) was treated with Tangmaikang in addition to conventional therapy for 12 weeks.Observe the changes of electromyogram, homocysteinemia, glycosylated hemoglobin, lipid metabolism before and after treatment. Results Efficacy of treatment group is much better than that of control group,as well as the effective rate (P0.05).The curative effect of motor nerve conduction velocity、sural nerve conduction velocity and homocysteic acid have no significant difference (P0.05) after treatment in two groups.Compared with control group, the glycosylated hemoglobin,TC and LDL-C all decreased obviously(P0.05),HDL-C increased obviously(P0.05)after treatment in treatment group. In addition, breakout and gastrointestinal tract adverse effect was found in control group, but not in treatment group. Conclusion Tangmaikang is superior to mecobalamin in treating DPN,and it can also reduce blood fat level and HbA1c level, with few adverse effects.
