Title: Epidemiological Analysis on Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases in Bao'an District,Shenzhen City,2010
Abstract: [Objective]To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of outbreaks of infectious diseases in Bao'an district,Shenzhen city,so as to provide scientific basis for disease prevention and control.[Methods]Analysis was made on epidemiological data on outbreaks of infectious diseases,including influenza,hand-foot-and-mouth disease,Varicella and mycoplasma pneumonia,in Bao'an district Shenzhen city,2010.[Results]There were 8 reported outbreaks in 2010,including 72 cases without death or critical ones.The outbreaks comprised 3 reported outbreaks of influenza,31 cases,while 3 hand-foot-and-mouth disease,Varicella and mycoplasma pneumonia accounted for 20 cases,12 cases,9 cases,respectively.The peak of those outbreaks was in March and April,4 reported outbreaks including 35 cases,3 reported outbreaks 22 cases,respectively.Another outbreaks was in July icluding 15 cases.The kindergarten children,the primary students,the juniors and the workers had 3 reported outbreaks 20 cases,2 reported outbreaks 16 cases,2 reported outbreaks 21 cases and 1 reported outbreaks 15 cases,respectively.The proportion of the male and female patients was 52.78% and 47.22%.The age distribution was 22.22%,44.44%,and 33.33% in the groups of under 4,between 5 and 14,and above 15 and 60.[Conclusion]The outbreaks of infectious diseases in Bao'an district are mainly respiratory diseases,especially at the kindergarten and the primary and middle school.
