Title: Stability studies of unsaturated soil slope under rainfall conditions based on ABAQUS
Abstract: Based on the unsaturated soil mechanics theory, considering the rainfall infiltration process, using the ABAQUS software mid-stream solid coupling model, the soil slope stability under rainfall conditions is simulated. The simulation results show that the pore water pressure in the slope before and after rainfall has marked changes and directly affects the soil matric suction, resulting in the easy instability of the slope caused by the decline of the matric suction. The horizontal displacement, vertical displacement and total displacement of soil slope also have great changes during the rainfall. And the plastic strain zone appears in the slope during the rainfall and the zone expands gradually until it is stable.
