Title: Research on Residual Oil Distribution Law and Tapping the Potential in Horizontal Wells in Offshore Heavy Oilfields——By Taking XX Oilfield in Bohai Basin for Example
Abstract: Due to reservoir heterogeneity, complex water-out state was caused when the oilfield was at the mid-late stage of water flooding, and the water flooding characteristics of reservoir directly controlled the residual oil distribution, especially in the conditions of commingle injection and production in offshore heavy oilfields, and its development effect became poorer and poorer at different levels of water flooding. Therefore, understanding the residual oil distribution modes in water flooding conditions and the strategic study of effective adjustment and tapping potential were necessary methods to improve the development effect of oilfield.Starting from the reservoir heterogeneity and combined with coring well, infill and adjustment wells and production data, the water flooding law of different sandstones was summarized in commingling production of different reservoirs, residual oil distribution characters by commingle production in interlayer,intra-layer and in the plane were described.According to the mode of residual oil distribution,it is proposed that horizontal wells are used for the adjustment and tapping the potential to solve the contradictions. The results show that the application of horizontal wells for optimizing the potential zones in the development is an effective means,it can effectively control the production of water, improve oil recovery and development effect and provide guidance for the adjustment and tapping the potential for the similar oilfields.
