Title: Experimental Study on Reasonable Advance Speed of Oil and Water in Offshore Heavy Oil Sandstone Reservoir

To address these problems, water /oil displacement experiments both in high and low permeability cores with different displacement ways have been conducted. Based on the geology and develop characteristics of Bohai SZ36- 1 oil field, three schemes have been studied with equal water breakthrough time of high and low permeability cores as the evaluation criteria. The test results showed that different injection strategies result in quite different oil recovery in separate injection and commingled production of offshore heavy oil reservoir. In designing injection-production differential pressure of different layers, the characteristic of non-linear fluid flow, permeability and porosity difference should be considered to maintain the advance of oil and water as uniform as possible. The test results could provide valuable foundation for water injection strategy selection and high efficient development of the offshore heavy oil sandstone reservoir.Read More
