Title: Oxidation Stress in Uremia Patients and its Determinants.
Abstract: Objective To explore the factors that influence the oxidation stress of uremia patients. Methods Malondialhehyde(MDA)、Ox-LDL and AOPP were detected in 57 uremia patients. The data including primary kidney diseases and cardiovascular diseases of the patients and whether they took angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors(ACEIs).Results The levels of MDA、Ox-LDL and AOPP in uremia patients are higher than those in controls(P≤0.01).The patients with cardiovascular diseases have higher levels of MDA、Ox-LDL and AOPP than those without cardiovascular diseases(P≤0.01).The levels of MDA、Ox-LDL and AOPP in uremia patients taking ACEIs are lower than those in patients not taking ACEIs.Conclusion Oxidation stress in uremia patients is higher than that in controls.ACEIs may alleviate the oxidation stress of uremia patients.
