Title: An evaluation of TCT screening for CIN and cervical cancer.
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of TCT screening for CIN and cervical cancer. Methods 400 cases are examined with TCT and biopsy at the same time from Apr.30,2007,to May.30,2007.①Cervical cells are collected by a special cell brush. These collected cells are put into a small bottle containing cell liquid. Then the cells, having been processed and dyed with Bashi liquid, are observed under a microscope.②Multiple biopsies are performed at the transform zone of cervix. The sections of cervical tissue are made, dyed with Sumujing-yihong and then observed under a microscope. The results of biopsy and TCT are analyzed with statistics. Results The sencitivity, specificity and accuracy of TCT screening for LSIL are 90.0%,96.8% and 96.5% respectively, and those for HSIL are 84.6%,95.3% and 95.0% respectively. Conclusion TCT screening is a good method for CIN and cervical cancer.
