Title: Effect of Early Intestinal Dripping of Chinese Herbs Qihuang Decoction on MOT and VIP and SS in Patients with Gastric Cancer after Operation
Abstract: Objective: To observe the influence of Early Intestinal Dripping of Chinese Herbs Qihuang decoction on gastrointestinal hormone(Motilin,MOT;Vasoactive intestinal peptide,VIP;Somatostatin,SS) in Patients with Gastric Cancer after Operation.Methods:30 cases with gastric cancer were randomly divided into two groups,i.e.the studied group(n=15),treated with Chinese Herbs Qihuang decoction, and the control group(n=15)treated with normal saline. The medication was started from the 1st day after operation by intestinal dripping daily.7 days as one course. The changes of gastrointestinal hormone(MOT、VIP、SS)were observed before and after operation. Results:The level of MOT at first day after operation were decreased significantly in both groups(P0.05),while the level of MOT significantly increased at 7th after operation.Compared with control group, the use of herbs Qihuang decoction after operation may effectively modulate the changes of MOT after operation(P0.05);patients with gastric cancer had a high expression of VIP before operation and higher level of VIP、SS concentration at first day after operation, while the level of VIP、SS concentration basically recovered at 7th day after operation Compared with control group, the use of herbs after operation may effectively modulate the changes of VIP、SS after operation(P0.05).Conclusions:The early use of Qihuang decoction after gastric cancer operation may regulate the level of MOT、 VIP and SS,and enhance its recovery after operation.
