Title: The value of CT scan in the diagnosis of liver trauma: A report of 126 cases
Abstract: Objective To explore the value of CT scan in the diagnosis of liver trauma. Methods 126 cases (93 males and 33 females) of liver trauma confirmed surgically were retrospectively analyzed. Normal scan was performed in all cases, 88 cases received enhancement performance. Results 99 cases were liver contusion, 15 hematoma in liver and 12 hematoma under envelope. The focus distributed in left and right liver were 42 cases ( 33.3% ), simple right liver trauma 74 cases ( 58.4% ) and left liver trauma 10 cases ( 8.3% ). Conclusions The CT scan is very valuable in defining liver trauma, in judging trauma degree, also in estimating bleeding amount of abdominal cavity and in selecting proper mode of therapy.
