Title: Study on expression of APO2.7 in peripheral blood lymphocyte of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus
Abstract: Objective:To evaluate the effect of apoptosis in systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) and to explore the role of apoptosis in the pathogenesis of SLE by detecting the expression of APO2.7 in patients with SLE. Methods:46 patients with SLE and 20 controls were enrolled, the patients were divided into 2 groups in terms of SLE-disease-activity-index(SLEDAI).Low-cytometry assay was employed for detection of APO2.7 in peripheral blood of patients and controls. At the same time,SLEDAI,ESR,IgG and complement3(C3) were detected in patients.Correlations between the levels of APO2.7 in SLE and SLEDAI,ESR,IgG and C3 in patients were analyzed. Results:Significant higher APO2.7 level were detected in 45 patients of SLE than that in control group(P0.05).The levels of APO2.7 in 31 active SLE patients were markedly higher than 15 stable SLE patients(P0.05).Positive correlation were observed between the levels of APO2.7 in SLE and ESR,IgG,SLEDAI(r=0.581,0.577,0.552,P﹤0.05).However,negative correlation was found between the levels of APO2.7 in SLE and C3 level(r=-0.512,P0.05). Conclusion:APO2.7 might be involved in the pathogenesis of SLE.
