Title: Correlation and Expression of TβRII and Smad7 in Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Abstract: [Purpose] To investigate the expression of transforming growth factor beta receptor Ⅱ (TβRⅡ) and Smad7 and their correlation in lung squamous cell carcinoma tissues. [Methods] The TβRⅡ and Smad7 expression of carcinoma tissues and adjacent normal tissues in 18 cases with lung squamous carcinoma was detected by Western blot. [Results] The expression levels of TβRⅡ in lung squamous carcinoma tissues were 0.73-fold with adjacent normal tissues (P0.05). Expression levels of Smad7 in lung squamous carcinoma tissues were 3.6-fold than that in adjacent normal tissues (P0.05). TβRⅡ expression was negatively correlated with Smad7 expression in lung squamous carcinoma tissues (r=-0.9173, P0.05).[Conclusion] Low expression of TβRⅡ and overexpression of Smad7 may closely involve in the carcinogenesis of lung squamous carcinoma.
