Title: Application of Treponema Pallidun Particle Agglutination(TPPA) Test in Clinical Serodiagnos of Syphilis and External Quality Assessment
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the value of Tolidime Red Unheated Serum Test (TRUST) and External Quality Assessment.Methods To test the serums of syphilis and non syphilis by TRUST and TPPA.The samples of External Quality Assessment from 1998 to 1999 year and 2000 year were tested by TRUST and TPPA respectively.Results The positive rates of syphilis serum tested by TRUST and TPPA were 86.3%(69/80) and 100%.The sensitivity and specificity of TRUST were 44.44% and 90.00% in External Quality Assessment.The accuracy was 68.75%.The sensitivity and specificity and accuracy of TPPA were all 100%.There was an evident difference between their sensitivties(χ 2=9.35,P0.01).Conclusions TPPA has very high sensitivity and specificity.It can be first selected clinical method to diagnostic Syphilis.
