Title: Effect of relaxation training for relieving anxiety in hospitalized patients with primary hypertension
Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of relaxation training for relieving anxiety in hospitalized patients with primary hypertension.Methods One hundred patients with primary hypertension according to time into relaxation training group and control group,and in the former group,relaxation training for 30 minutes was given there two times daily for 2 weeks in addition to routine use of a kind medications for controlling blood pressure and general health education,whereas patients in the latter group received only the medications and the general health education.SAS was adopted for evaluation of the anxiety status in the two groups at admission and 2 weeks after intervention.Results Two weeks after relaxation training,the anxiety level of the patients in the experiment group was significantly lowered in comparison with the control group(P 0.01).Conclusion Relaxation training can ameliorate the anxiety of hospitalized patients with primary hypertension.
