Title: An Algorithm of Near Field RCS of Complex Objects
Abstract: “Facet-modeling” divisional method and Z-buffer algorithm are used to simulated the shape of complex objects. Physical Tip Diffraction(PTD) and Method of Equivalent Edge Current(EEC) are used to compute the near field Radar Cross Section(RCS) of every facet. The total RCS of object is the vector summation of the RCS of all facets. The RCS of a missile is computed with the algorithm as well as a tank. Results show that the electromagnetic scattering modeling is effective and exact and the algorithm is practicable.
