Title: Method of Moments Analysis for High Frequency Electrically Large Aircraft Target
Abstract: High frequencies radar cross section(RCS) analysis,as the basis of stealth design, has very important research significance. For stealth design,a difficult problem is how to calculate accurately the RCS of electrically large-scale and complex aircraft target. To solve this problem,a true size model of ummanned aerial vehicle was established and calculated with Method of Moments in high precision. In order to make the Method of Moments adapt to the calculation of electrically large-scale complex target,a 3-D entity model was simplified and divided properly. And a Multilevel Fast Multipole Method was used to increase calculation efficiency.Through these, the calculation was reduced successfully. After the calculation of PEC sphere, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm was verified,RCS of the UAV model was calculated, and the monostatic RCS and bistatic RCS were obtained.Analyses for the results show that the monostatic RCS increases as frequency increases, and is affected by the geometrical shape and angle. The scattering direction of bistatic RCS is affected by polarization direction of incident wave and presents obvious symmetry, and the prior scattering is more obvious than back scattering.
