Title: Comparison of the Effect and Safety between Premixed Insulin Aspart 30 and Human Insulin Premix 70/30 in the Patients with type 2 Diabetes
Abstract: Objective:To compare the effect and safety between premixed insulin aspart 30 and human insulin premix 70/30 in the patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods: 81 patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into groups of receiving premixed insulin aspart 30 and human insulin premix 70/30 for 4 weeks.Blood glucose and HbA1c were measured and compared before and after the insulin treatments. Results:After the treatments,2 hours postprandial glucose levels after breakfast and dinner were significantly decreased(P0.05).However,HbA1c and the risk of hypoglycaemia did not differ significantly between the treatments. Conclusion: Treatment of diabetic patients with premixed insulin aspart 30 can more significantly improve 2 hours postprandial blood glucose level compared to treatment with human insulin premix 70/30,without increasing the risk of hypoglycaemia.
