Title: Catalytic Synthesis of Benzaldehyde Glycol Acetal With I_2 Doping Polyaniline
Abstract: Benzaldehyde glycol acetal was synthesized with benzaldehyde and glycol by using I2 doping polyaniline as catalyst according to orthogonal test method. The effects of various factors such as molar ratio of benzaldehyde to glycol, catalyst quantity, reaction time, etc on the product yield were investigated. The experimental results show that yield of benzaldehyde glycol acetal can reach 85.3% when the molar ratio of benzaldehyde to glycol is 1:1.5, the dosage of I2 doping polyaniline catalyst is equal to 0.60% of feed stock mass, cyclohexane is water-carrying agent, and the reaction time is 1.0 h.
