Title: The technique of retroperitoneal laparoscopic ureterolithotomy
Abstract: Objective:To summarize the experience of retroperitoneal laparoscopic ureterolithotomy, and to analyze the technique. Methods:The clinical data of 86 patients of complicated upper ureteral calculi who were treated by retroperitoneal laparoscopic ureterolithotomy were retrospectively analyzed. Results:All the operations were completed without any serious complications. The mean laparoscopic operation time was(40.34±9.35) min,the mean blood loss was(15.17±9.05) ml,the mean postoperative removal time of urethral catheter was(3.73±0.81) d,and the mean postoperative hospital stay was(5.73±0.98) d.Peritoneal rupture occurred in one case, and urinary leakage in two cases, which only continued one day. Conclusions:Retroperitoneal laparoscopic ureterolithotomy is safe and effective for complex upper ureteral calculi with advantages of less trauma and faster recovery. With suitable technique, the operation time will be shortened.
