Title: A Brief Discussion about Implied Cultural Meaning of Qin Music in Xie Tiao' s Poems
Abstract: In Chinese traditional culture, music is a required course every intellectual; for the eight kinds of musical instruments, the qin (a musical instrument) is the first . In Poems in Xianqin, Han, We, and Nanbei Dynasties compiled by Lu Qinli, there are about 120 poems by Xie Tiao, among which 18 mentioned the qin, taking up 15% , Starting from the text of poems, the article gives an analysis to three cultural implications of the qin music in Xie Tiao's poems; qin music can amuse mind, show one's sorrow and advance one's nature. From these aspects, the qin's cultural implication in Chinese ancient literature is excavated.
