Title: One new species of the genus Macrosteles from China(Hemiptera,Cicadellidae,Deltocephalinae)
Abstract: In this paper,one new species of genus Macrosteles Fieber,Macrosteles serrata sp.nov was described from China.This new species is similar to Macrosteles variata(Fall.),but it can be distinguished from the latter by body small;aedeagal shaft with serrations at each side of base in lateral margin,at apical half with serrations in dorsal margin. Length of body(including tegmen): ♂ 2.6-2.7mm,♀2.7-2.8mm. Holotype ♂,Luodian(106.74°E,25.43°N,altitude 400m),Guizhou,7 Jun 1986,Collected by LI Zi-Zhong.Paratypes:1 ♂,2♀♀,same data as holotype. Etymology.From serrata,the specific epithet refers to aedeagal shaft with serrations.Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Entomology,Guizhou University,Guiyang,China.
