Title: The Splendor of the Qing Dynasty and the Development of Western Countries
Abstract: Kang Xi, Yong Zheng and Qian Long were three famous emperors of the Qing Dynasty with over 130 years of reign. Their era was at the height of power and the splendor of the Qing Dynasty with the great changes of world pattern, which is the key period of China facing new challenges and opportunities. This article examines China and the world during the Kang Xi, Yong Zheng and Qian Long era, concerning itself with their overseas policy of the closing of the country to international intercourse, and with its negative impact on the development of Chinese history thenceforward.
