Title: Expression of nm23-H1 Protein in Human Colorectal Carcinoma
Abstract: Objective To explore the expression level of nm23 H1 protein and its relationship with occurrence, development, histopathologic type and metastasis of human colorectal carcinoma. Methods Samples including 76 carcinoma tissues, 43 para carcinoma tissues and normal colorectal mucosa from 76 cases with colorectal carcinoma were taken to be measured the expression level of nm23 H1 protein by immunohistochemistry. Results The expression level of nm23 H1 protein varied in normal colorectal mucosa, but it was significantly higher in colorectal carcinoma (80 3%) than in para carcinoma tissues (58 1%) or in normal colorectal mucosa (48 8%). No significant relation was found between the expression level of nm23 H1 protein and carcinoma metastasis. Conclusion The expression level of nm23 H1 protein in colorectal carcinoma obviously increases, which may play a significant role in the development of colorectal carcinoma.
