Title: Clinical Observation on Acupuncture plus Chinese Medicine for 32 Cases of Vascular Headache
Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture plus Chinese medicine and only Chinese medicine on vascular headache. Methods The 62 cases were randomized into treatment group (n=32 ) and control group (n=30). The treatment group was treated with acupuncture plus oral taking Chinese medicine and the control group simply with oral taking Chinese medicine. The therapeutic effect and score of headache were observed in both groups. Results The total effect of treatment group was better than that of control group (P0.05). After treatment, both groups were improved in decreasing the frequency of headache, the days of headache attacks, lasting time of each attack and degree of headach(P0.01). In decreasing the severity of headache, the treatment group was remarkably better than that of the control group (P0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture plus oral taking Chinese medicine significantly effective for vascular headache.
