Title: The Present Status of School Education for Rural Left-behind Children and Relevant Thought
Abstract: Rural left-behind children are a group of institutional orphans who have emerged in China with the change of urban-rural binary system and they are vulnerable in such a period of social transformation. They face some problems in school education, such as learning problem, psychological problem and so on, which are closely related to the lack of loving care from their far away parents. Therefore, in the premise that we should call for the social concerns on rural left-behind children, the schools should also change their school-running ideas, and fully extend their functions, for example, the functions of family education and parenting so as to explore a new direction for the development of school education on rural left-behind children.
