Title: Influence of amphetamine on behavior and serum levels of IL-2 of rats
Abstract: Objective To investigate the influence of amphetamine on behavior and serum level of IL-2 of rats. Methods Forty five mail SD rats (80~100 g) received intramuscular injection of amphetamine and were divided into low dose group (0.5 mg/kg), middle dose group(2.5 mg/kg) and high dose group(5.0 mg/kg). Fifteen rats were match as control group. Behavior changes were observed and score was evaluated according to Sams-Dodd method and serum level of IL-2 was measured by ELISA. Results ① Stereotyped behavior score showed no significant difference in control group compared to normal rats but was significantly higher in the experimental group than that of the control group (P0.05). ② Serum IL-2 level in the experimental group has no statistical significance compared to the control group. Conclusion Amphetamine has neurotoxicity on the experiment rats, but no significant inflluence on serum IL-2 level of rats
