Almost throughout the whole historic stage since the founding of America, the Chinese immigrants in America have contributed greatly to the development and construction of America. The development of the Chinese immigrants in America can be roughly divided into the following three phases: Phase One, which started from the 1880's and ended in 1940, was dominated by racial discrimination. Phase Two (1945-1960) saw a large number of historical revisionist ideas. Phase Three began in the 1960's when American government amended the Immigration Law in order to attract more hi-tech talents, thus making it possible for large number of intellectuals to rush into America.
