Title: THE OPERATING OPPORTUNITY FOR TRAUMATIC CATARACT
Abstract: Objective To explore the optimal opportunity for surgery of traumatic cataract. Methods Sixty-eight cases(69 eyes) of traumatic cataracts without serious preoperative complications were divided into A,B,C and D groups according to different operative time.Visual acuity and operative complications were recorded. Results The rate of CVA better than 0.6 in group B one month after operation was significantly higher than that of other groups(P=0.008-0.030);the rate of serous anterior reaction and posterior capsular opacities were significantly increased in group A(P=0.002-0.045). Conclusion Appropriate operating time is important for patients with traumatic cataract to get the best vision and the least postoperative complications.
