One includes all those with non-con...In Jianli(监利) Dialect (a dialect in Gan(赣) Dialect Group),when they are pronounced individually,characters with Old Yinping(阴平) Tone can be divided into two groups. One includes all those with non-consonant finals and a few with nasal finals,which maintain their own tone value,while the other is composed of most characters with nasal finals which have a same high tone value as local Rusheng(入声) Tone. It is concluded that Rusheng(入声) and Yinping(阴平) tones might have similar tone value in Jianli(监利) dialect in earlier times. The peculiar evolution of Yinping(阴平) tones is a result of interaction of finals and the length of vowels.Read More
