Title: Optimization on Alcohol Extraction Technology of Radix Arnebiae by Orthogonal Design
Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To optimize the extraction technology of naphthoquinone such as L-shikonin in Radix Arnebiae.METHODS:An L9(34)orthogonal experiment was performed to investigate the 3 factors(three levels for each factors were selected),i.e.the amount of ethanol, temperature and time of extraction with the quantity of L-shikonin and extracta sicca yield as indexes for evaluation.RESULTS:The temperature of extraction had significant impact on the extraction of the effective components in Radix Arnebiae. The best extraction technology was as follows:adding 12-fold and 8-fold ethanol solution(at a concentration of 95%)for digeratur extraction twice at 65℃(1.0 h each time).CONCLUSION:The optimized technology for the extraction of L-shikonin from Radix Arnebiae was stable, reasonable and feasible.
