Title: Traditional Chinese Medicine Compound Effects on Lung Vascular Endothelial Function in Patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
Abstract: Objective: To study the factors and mechanisms of the Chinese herbal compound affecting on pulmonary heart disease( PHD). Methods: 240 chronic PHD patients whose pattern of syndrome was Qi deficiency and blood stasis combining phlegm resistance were selected into the study and randomly divided into treatment group( 120 cases) and control group( 120 cases).Control group received Nifedipine orally based on the routine treatment, and treatment group received Chinese herbal compound a dose orally once a day based on the control group's treatment. Each group was treated for two weeks. The ET-1,NO and hemorheology were observed. Results: Compared with the control group by using T test statistic analysis, treatment group's pulmonary artery pressure( PAP),whole blood low shear viscosity, whole blood high shear viscosity were improved( P 0. 05). The ET-1,NO and HCT were significantly improved( P 0. 01). The multiple correlation analysis showed that there was positive correlation between the ET-1 and PAP,and negative correlation between the NO and PAP. Conclusion: Chinese herbal compound was contribute to reduce the PAP in PHD patients, and its mechanism may be associated with the protection of pulmonary vascular endothelial cells, reconstruction of the vessel activating cytokine balance, and improvement of hemorheology and etc.
