Title: Study on Aerodynamic Performance of Vertical Axis Wind Turbine with Different Installation Angle
Abstract: This paper establishes 3D model of vertical axis wind turbine.Three-dimensional unsteady incompressible N-S equation and RNG k-e turbulence model are solved by software FLUENT.And 3D unsteady flow field of the vertical axis wind turbine under different installation angle is simulated by using SIMPLE algorithm and sliding grid technology.Then the distribution of velocity and vorticity,total torque of wind turbine and the power coefficient of wind energy at different time are analyzed.The results show that the flow field of computational domain is complex;the torque of the vertical axis wind turbine changes periodically;and the power coefficient of wind energy changes with variation of angle.
