Title: Changes of main mineral element contents in leaves and fruits of Camellia oleifera during fruit development
Abstract: In order to provided a theoretical basis for nutrient management of Camellia oleif era tree body during frui t d evelopment period, the seven-year-old C. oleifera varieties of ‘Changlin 4', ‘Changlin 53' and ‘Changlin 40' were used as materials, contents of various mineral elements in leaves and fruits of C. oleifera during fruit development were determined, and their change trends, relationship and differences were analyzed. The results showed that the contents of the mineral elements in leaves and fruits were different among different varieties, and the contents of main mineral elements in leaves and fruits of a clone also showed significant differences. The contents of nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium in leaves were decreased and then increased with fruit growth and development, while manganese content kept the rising trend as a whole. The contents of nitrogen and phosphorous in fruits showed a downward trend, while the potassium content showed at slight rising trend. The results of correlation analysis showed that the changes of mineral element contents in leaves and fruits had no significant relationship, but those in peels and seeds had close relationship, and the potassium contents in peels and seeds of three varieties had very significant negative relationship, and the correlation coefficients were- 0.663,- 0.869 and- 0.895, respectively.
