Title: Analysis of the Therapeutic Effect of Transurethral Vaporized Resection of the Prostate on 165 Cases with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and complications prevention in transurethral vaporized resection of the prostate(TUVP) for benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods Clinical manifestations,intraoperative conditions,clinical efficacy and complications of 165 BPH patients underwent TUVP were retrospectively investigated.Results All the operations were achieved success without transurethral resection syndrome and blood transfusion.The blood loss during operation was 110±18 ml.Urethral stricture occurred in 4 cases.The average operating time was 38~75 min.There were significant differences in the international prostate symptom score,quality of life,maximal urinary flow rate,average urinary flow rate and RUV compared with those before operation(P0.01).Conclusion TUVP has good therapeutic effect with higher safety and less blood loss in patients with BPH.
