Title: Clinical Observation of Chinese Medicine in Treating Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Abstract: To observe the clinical efficacy of Chinese medicine in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), 41 subjects were randomized into two groups: group A in which 18 cases were treated by oral ingestion of Chinese herbs and acupoint application of herbal plaster on Feishu, Xinshu and Jueyinshu, and group B in which 23 cases were treated by simple oral ingestion of Chinese herbs, with a course of 100 days. Results: In two groups, there were significant differences between pretreatment and posttreatment in pulmonary ventilation, clinial score, CD 4/CD 8 (P0.01); and the first-second FEV 1/FVC was better in group A than in group B (P0.01).
