Methods The subjects, 1 320 healthy urban citizens living more than 10 years in Chongqing, were divided into 14 groups by every 5 years interval. BMD of lumbar spines(L 2-4 ), femoral neck(Neck), trochanter(Troch) and Ward's triangle(Ward's) were measured by dual energy X ray absorptiometry. Results The peak bone mass for all sites of the subjects appeared at the age of 25-29. In women, BMD decreased quickly during 45-55 years old in L 2-4 , Ward's and Troch as well as in Neck. In man, however, the bone loss increased gradually with aging. Conclusion PBM for each skeleton site appears during 25-29 years old.Read More
