Title: Long-Term Toxicity Study of Compound Hypoglycemic Pill in Rats
Abstract: Objective: This study was planned to assess compound hypoglycemic pill safety in rats. Methods: The long- term toxicity test used SD rats which were treated with compound hypoglycemic pill at doses of 10. 41、20. 82、41. 65 g /kg( ig). Half rats were killed after 3 months, and the remaining recovered 2 weeks with withdrawing pills. The blood routine indexes, blood biochemical indexes, organ coefficient and histopathology of major organs of rats were examined for evaluation of toxicity. Results: No rats died and no serious toxic reactions in the long- term toxicity experiment. The detection of blood routine indexes and blood biochemical indexes showed that few significant changed between the NC and compound hypoglycemic pill groups, except the indexes of TG and AST in the 41. 65 g /kg. Conclusion: It is very safe that mice and rats take compound hypoglycemic pill in the dosage of test and there is no harm for body. It's safety.
