Title: Intravenous Infusion of Domestic-produced Nicardipine for Antihypertensive Emergency
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and side effects of domestic-produced nicardipine for hypertensive emergency. Methods Forty five patients with hypertensive emergency received intravenous infusion of nicardipine. Blood pressure and heart rate were measured 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 6, 12 hour after administrations. Results The blood pressure was decreased 30 minutes after intravenous infusion. SBP was decreased from (191.0±11.5)mm Hg to (164.5±9.6)mm Hg(P0.01), DBP from(110.0±7.5) mm Hg to (96.9±12.5)mm Hg(P0.01). One case was discontinued clue to severe headache. The total effective rate was 100% with very few side effects. Conclusion Intravenous infusion of domestic-produced nicardipine is effective and safe for hypertensive emergency.
