Title: Qualitative and quantitative analysis of cerebral hemodynamics with MR perfusionweighted imaging
Abstract: Objective To study the changes of cerebral hemodynamics in different pathologic conditions with dynamic susceptibility contrastenhanced MR perfusionweighted imaging. Methods After bolus administration of Dimeglumine gadopentetate, rapid T2*weighted echoplanar freeinductiondecay images were acquired as perfusionweighted images for multisections from 45 patients with ischemic cerebrovascular diseases, 11 with other cerebrovascular diseases, 4 with gliomas and 4 with cerebritis Cerebral blood perfusion maps were created and analyzed, as well absolute regional cerebral blood volume, regional cerebral blood flow and mean transit time were determined and analyzed ResultsZIn 54 cases, abnormal cerebral hemodynamics was observed Followup examinations showed that in all acute cerebral infarction cases, there were reperfusion phenomena in ischemic regions Conclusions MR perfusionweighted imaging can provide quantitative information of the changes of cerebral hemodynamics
