Title: The Quality Satus and Health Risk Assessment of Ningxia Decentralized Water Supply
Abstract: Objective To assess the quality status and health risk of Ningxia decentralized water supply and to provide the evidence for the safety of drinking water.Methods 4 to 5 points of decentralized water supply were detected in each city( district) of Ningxia,respectively.The detection range covered different types of water supply,water source and water supply period.We also evaluated eight indicators using Health Risk Assessment Model that was recommend by USEPA.Results 206 water samples were tested in this study.The qualified rate were 31.1% and 35.0% in low water period and high water period,respectively.The total qualified rate was 33.0%.Excess cancered risk of carcinogens Cr6 +and As were 2.44E-4 and 9.20E-5,respectively.Lifelong health risk of non-carcinogen Hg,Fe,Mn,fluorides,nitrates and ammonia were 3.03E-8,4.76E-6,1.57E-6,4.27E-7,2.80E-8,7.09E-9,respectively.The health risk of Cr6 + and As were higher than that of others with 244 times and 92 times of the acceptable level.The health risk of Fe and Mn were 4.76 times and 1.57 times of the acceptable level,respectively.The health risk of other indicators were lower than the acceptable standard.Conclusion In Ningxia,the qualified rate of dispersed drinking water was low.The risk of Cr6 +and As were more serious.
