Title: Course Design of Business English of English Majors from Need Analysis Perspective
Abstract: It adopts need analysis to study English majors' needs in business English course design,including the analysis of learning motivation and interests,teaching material adopted,the classroom teaching methods and present course arrangements.This inquiry was conducted among 62 English majors in a university of Zhejiang in the form of questionnaire.The results showed that 96% students studies business English in order to find a good job.In class,68% students hope to learn in groups instead of mainly teach by teachers.More than half of students are unsatisfied with the categories and intensity of business English and all students hope to have more opportunities for practice.68% students are not satisfied with present textbooks.Therefore,there are so many differences between the students' needs and the present business English course design.It is necessary to do need analysis for business English and modified the present course design based on the results.
