Title: Numerical Study on Penetration of Rotating Projectile into Steel Plate
Abstract: The geometry of projectile and target is established by using the LS DYNA3 D software,the process of rotating projectile penetrating steel plate is simulated with using finite element program,and the correctness of the finite element method is verified by comparison with experimental data. The effect of rotation speed on the performance of two kinds of situations of vertical penetration and oblique penetration is analyzed,it is concluded that rotation has a certain impact on the projectile vertical penetration and oblique penetration,by comparing with velocity and acceleration response etc and quality loss situation of the projectile in the process penetration in the case of different rotation speeds,the important reference basis is provided for the design,improvement and optimization of the projectile structure.
