Title: Comparative Studies on Effects of Main Factors on Rooting Inducement of Isolated Jasmine(Jasminum sambac)
Abstract: The effects of different kinds of auxins, rooting inducement modes, subculture times and supporting substances of the medium on the rooting of isolated jasmine seedlings were studied. The results showed that two-step rooting mode,i.e.,pre-cultivating rootless shoots on the rooting medium containing 1/2 WPM and NAA 1.0 mg/L for 7 days(first step),followed by being transferring to blank medium containing only 1/2 WPM(second step),was the optimal rooting inducement method,it could obtain a rooting rate as high as 98.41%.Rooting ability of the test-tube shoots subcultured for 1~4 times was better than that subcultured for 5~ 6 times. Moreover, vermiculite was the best supporting substance of the medium for rooting inducement.100% rooting rate and 97.14% survival rate of transplanting were obtained on vermiculite, the root vigor, activities of POD and SOD in roots on vermiculite were higher than those on other supporting substances.
