Title: The Effects of Nursing Intervention on Post-Stroke Patients
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effect of nursing intervention on post-stroke patients. MethodsUsing the prospect cohort research,a convenient sample of 80 stroke victims from three provincial general hospitals were divided into the intervention group and the control group rabdomly. The intervention group received nursing intervention for three months. The stroke impact scale(SIS) was used as the assessment tool,and the statistical methods such as analysis of variance of repeated measurement. were applied. Results The nursing intervention has significant effect on patients’ emotion,mobility,participation,and etc. The effect of nursing intervention on strength,communication,activity of daily life(ADL),overall QOL increased along with the time. The effect of intervention on strength,ADL and overall QOL was found at 3 months after intervention,but the effect on communication and function of hands can be tested only through longer follow-up. The effect of intervention on memory and thinking of life of post-strokes has not been detected. Conclusion Nursing intervention was an effective method for improve the quality of life of post-strokes.
