Title: An Analysis of the Task-based Foreign Language Teaching Approach and Its Feasibility Under the Theory of Constructivism
Abstract: Task-based Language Teaching(TBLT) is a language teaching approach focusing on tasks.It has been a new development of communicative approach in recent years.From the constructivist point of view,this paper introduces its basic features and analyses the significance,the possible problems and limitations of its implementation in foreign language teaching in China.By analyzing some of the existing problems,the author points out that the spread of task-based foreign language teaching is still not very feasible in China and it needs time to be fully implemented.
