Title: Relationships between crosslinked network homogeneity and mechanical properties of hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene-based polyurethane elastomer
Abstract: Hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene( HTPB)-based polyurethane elastomers were prepared with 2,6-diisocyanatohexanoic acid 2-isocyanatoethyl ester and HTPB as raw materials by stepgrowth polymerization. The dynamic mechanical thermal analysis was used to research the crosslinked network homogeneity of the HTPB-based polyurethane elastomers, and the relationship between the homogeneity and the mechanical properties was investigated. The results showed that the narrower the HTPB molecular weight distribution, the more homogeneous the cross-linked network of the elastomers and the greater the tensile strength, the smaller the elongation at break of the elastomers.
