Abstract: Poetics is the best literature theory of ancient Greece,its speaking is the way of comparative consciousness.Aristotle studies the difference of species through comparing the characteristics of the object,then gives a definition to the object.The comparative consciousness is the basic way of genus+differentia definition.Aristotle also discusses the theory of metaphor in Poetics.He gets rid of the poetics of metaphor,and reveals the rationality of metaphor to stand out of its artificial and instrument.The comparative consciousness in Poetics is different from the imagery of comparison in China.
