Title: Indifference and Consumption:"Sex"in Wang Xiaobo’s Novels
Abstract: As a solitary phenomenon in contemporary Chinese literature, Wang Xiaobo’s novels have brought new texture to Chinese literature. By analyzing in the novels of Wang Xiaobo, the author of this paper opines that in Wang’s novels, distinct from the narrative in the category of Freudian sex liberation, is concerned with games, delights and the freedom of the subject, because it is derived from Fuke’s sense of emancipation from sex. Moreover, in Wang’s novels, is utilized to oppose the rationality of modern society via its aimless consumption and to tease power and to disclose the operation mode of power through games of tyrannical love.
