Title: Research on Spatial Disparity and Evolution of Regional Economy in Yangtze River Delta from 1978
Abstract: It is well known that the regions of Yangtze River Delta are always the one of biggest economic region of China,spatial pattern of regional economy has been influenced by the development of these regions.Studying on the spatial distribution and evolutional process of regional economy,it can help us understand the spatial transferring characteristics,their changes and development trend of regional economy more accurately,and this also can be of great significance for developing the strategy for regions of Yangtze River Delta scientifically and rationally.Based on the data of the GDP during 1978 and 2005,the paper figures out the quantity and speed of GDP,it quantitatively analyzes spatial disparity of regional economy and introduces the concept of center gravity,expressing developing evolvement of GDP center of gravity.The result indicates that the regions with higher growth rate of GDP are mainly distributed by the railways linked Nanjing,Shanghai,Hangzhou with Ningbo;it takes the shape of?Z,the lower regions are mainly distributed in the edge of the Yangtze River Delta.The disparity between Shanghai and the second city has reduced to some extent.The GDP gravity center slowly moves to south-east in Yangtze River Delta in Post-Reform and spatial disparity has a tendency to balance.
